suspension problem? jumping @mid range speeds

97 2500 4x4 5 speed 5 inch skyjacker lift on, never had a problem till i hit a pot hole out in the desert came out of the pothole truck was bouncing up and down real bad,stoped took off again it went away,2 weeks later hit a dip in road,started jumping again, stoped took off problem gone.couple days later slow left turn 35 mph jumping again coming out of turn,this is up and down wheels coming off the ground,once i stop its fine,I have been under the truck 15 plus times looking for something to speak to me,theres noting noticably wrong,what ive done so far as a result of trying to find this problem,new u-joints front axle drive shaft and axle ,I will add there was no problems when the front drive shaft was out and on my bench? tires checked for tread seperation and rebalenced,all mounts checked and in good shape,springs and shocks,all fluids checked and full transfer case axles and so on, all ball joints checked lubed, like a said ive gone through the under carrige so many times theres nothing out of wack,its been about 3 weeks now since i had a problem,thought maybe one of the things i did corrected it,last friday on a freway interchange 40 mph hit a pothole truck starred jumping slowed down went away drove the 40 miles home no problems??? this is a sparatic problem dosent happen everytime i drive the truck but just when you think you got it licked,guess what,im about out of options here so im hoping someone may have been through this and can point me in the right direction,thanks for any help.mike

Sounds like the dreaded DW. Do a search on the subject. IF it is your in for a shaken bad time. I hope not. Those that have two wheel drive do not hav eto worry about DW. Only those of us lucky enough to have 4x4's hav the DW. Please see one of my posts on the DW here in the Help Forum named.

i was w/ a buddy in his 2wd 77 chevy heavy half-ton long bed and it did it going about 65.

Grab a cold one, go sit in your lazy boy, and do a search on death wobble. There's about a thousand fixes and every truck is different.
