stumbled on way to work

The last few weeks I have noticed that my truck seems to have stumbled with the cruise on but it was always a quick jerk and I was never sure. Today on the way to work I pushed the clutch in coming up to a stop sign and the engine shook and rattled hard enough I thought I lost something from under the truck. It didn't die but I can't really have it down, I live in wisconsin and we have 10" snow coming tomorrow and tomorrow night and since I work for a towing company not going to work isn't an option. Any ideas guys? It's a 2003, 6 speed, with Edge Juice w/Attitude. Thanks all,
Nick

Also, I scanned the computer when I got to work and there are no codes present. It had fuel pressure from the lift pump at the time, wasn't watching rail pressure though.

I had the same issue on my 2000, ended up being the crank position sensor on my truck, yours, I believe could be the cam position sensor.
