Stumble and Dies

I'm workin on dad's 02 2500, It's got rough idle and will cuttoff like you killed it with the ignition. Pulled codes and had glowplug/heater and CPS. Changed CPS and still doing same, minus the code. Sometimes it will run an hour, some times 30 sec. We changed lp and ip bout 4 months ago, installed fuel pres. meter, got a consistant 7-10 psi at idle, even when engine dies.

Any and all advice appreciated

Well, we know there can't be anything wrong with the glowplugs...

Turn the keyswitch on-off-on-off-on then look at the odometer.
Exactly which code numbers are you showing?
Is the motor stock with no modifications?

Assuming you have changed the fuel filter and your flexible fuel hoses are less than three years old, on an 02 2500 I would suspect the fuel injection pump has failed if your transfer pump is maintaining the pressure you list. Lack of relevant codes are what lead me down the VP44 failure path. Just about anything else will create error codes except dirty/plugged fuel filter or fuel hoses that infiltrate air (by the way the hoses will be dry, as they develop porosity and leak air not fuel).

It the problem just began with a change in weather, then look at the IAT and MAP for potential failures. Either of those generally will generate an error code, but sometimes not.

If it were bad fuel lines, wouldnt I see that on my fuel press. meter?
I assumed if it were a leak or something like that before the IP I'd see it on the meter.
