steering stabalizer

steering stabalizer

I can't get the one end off of the tie rod i tried tapping it after i took off nut but now i think i might of screwed up the first couple of threads. How do i get that off?


I'm trying to use the stock hardware but a new steering stabalizer

They can be a real pita. After a while I picked up the biggest hammer I had and took out some aggression on it. It gave up after about 15 hits Although I would have a real hard time doing that to a 04

Man I beat the crap out of it and it's still in there. I ended up cutting shouck out of my way so i could beat it even more. It's still won't come out. I reaslly don't know what else to do.

The hoiles for the bolts that came with the new shock are bigger then the stock one so if i get bigger bolts they won't fir in the stock brackets. They told me it would work before i bought it.Now i will have to order new brackets and drive with out steering stabalizer {i guess no big deal}

Talk about frustration!!!

I aways use a pitman arm puller. Rent or buy one.

Mine was a pain to get off, I ended up just cutting the bolt of with my dremmel and getting the universal bracket to put it on. I beat the holy crap out of that thing for almost an hour and said screw it!!!!
