Starter?

So, I'm three hours from home and I just tried to start my truck. It started to crank but stopped before it even turned over enough to start. I turned the key off and waited then tried again and now it won't crank at all. Is there a fuse or something for the starter? I can hear the grid heater and the fuel pump, just no power to the starter.

Try starting it in neutral. If not....try unhooking the battery to reset the TIPM. There is a flash for the TIPM that ups the amperage for the trailer lights and starter relay draw. I can't say that unhooking the battery will reset it, but without a scanner, that is the closest thing. Good luck. Where are you at?

Thanks for the response. I tried the neutral thing and that didn't work. I just disconnected the batteries and I'll wait a while to see if that will reset anything.

Ok, that fixed it. thanks so much for the help. I'll have to check the yellow wire to the starter when I get home to make sure it's not shorting.
