signal lights acting up

signal lights acting up

i'll hit the signal light left or right...and sometimes it will just freeze...the left light will come on for example..but no flashing just a solid light...doesn't happen all the time yet but last 2 days been acting up like that...i checked the fuse on the sidedoor panel and its perfectly fine....just curious what it may be?

could be a flasher. first things first check the bulbs and verify there are no fillaments burned out. then check make sure your grounds are good. if everything is aok could be the switch.

This is happening to my ma's dakota right now. Don't replace the switch, I just did and it started acting up 2 days later. I replaced the flasher, too. I replaced it with one I had laying around, I'm hoping that they maybe require a flasher without as much juice, and that's why it is sticking. Gonna find out if it needs a special flasher tomorrow, but I highly doubt it.

I'll bet you 5 it's the flasher,mine just did the same crap and that's what it was and like he said also check the bulbs one might have shoted and caused it to burn out.

Shovelhead had reccomended this Synthetic Blinker Fluid to some one else who had a similar problem. If this don't fix it, change the blue flasher module.

that's a good one

after changeing the blinker fluid remember to grease the winshield wipers to avoid greade worms
