Rough Idle Lots Of Smoke

I have a 2004.5 with 5,600 miles took on a road trip about 350 miles. the next morning I started the trk and it had a rough idle and was blowing smoke (blueish/grey). I let it warm up for about 30 seconds and then applied a little throttle. all seemed to clear up. as I drove could not see any smoke until I got on it. Then I would see a little black smoke which was never there b/4.
The second day started rough and smoke again. now the engine light came on. took to dodge but they have not found the problem yet. I don't have alot of trust in this dealer but it is the one I bought from anf the next closest is 110 miles away.

any thoughts on what might be wrong ??

I would check the fuel filter, maybe got some water or bad fuel!

Turn the ignition switch on/off/on/off/on and then read the codes in the odometer window. Post them when you get them.

Could be air in the system or the grid heater is not working. Isn't it still cold up there? or is it above 50f at night?

Went and picked up my trk and the mechanic said it needed an update. They updated it with tsb 18-007-04

I asked them if they could enable my high Idle TSB 18-004-04 and TSB 18-037-04
I gave them the reasons as indicated in the TSB listing from geno's garage and they told me those did not apply to my truck.
as I said b/4 I do not have alot of faith in this dealer! as far as I can see they should apply.

I drove the truck home and it was still blowing smoke for about 10 miles on the highway and seemed to clear up. This morning idle was a little rough but no smoke. will give a better test tonight. Maybe just needs to get the pipes cleaned.

Funny, I asked for the same thing to be done for mine and the dealer said they don't do any programing. They send them out to another shop to have it done! What gives here???
