Put Airdog on truck now it's not running
Put an Airdog 150 on my truck on sunday and drove it around that day and monday. Put around 50 miles on it. When I'm on my way to work today the truck won't start.
When i try to start it the Wait to start light on comes on for just a little bit considering it is 30 degrees outside. I try to start it, it pops then goes out. When i try again I cycle the key, Wait to start is on for longer Low fuel light is on for a little bit than goes out I crank it over doesn't pop or anything and low pressure light comes back on. Work on it a little bit today. Unhook battery cables trying to reset computer, checked connecters, bled fuel line up to injection pump. Lift pump will come on for a little bit with the key in the "On" position but then it will shut off. Checked voltage at relay for lift pump, will be at 12 then drop to 8 in a few seconds. When i installed the new LP I removed the old fuel filter and removed two plugs from it thinking this could be a problem but don't know why it would happen after i've driven for a little bit. Also my Vp was replaced less than a year ago.

Since you are running the AD150 I am assuming you have the draw straw: are you sure there is enough fuel in the tank that you are not sucking air? When the starter is bumped, it is normal for the lift pump to run just a short while before stopping if the truck isn't running and it is also normal for the voltage to drop while cranking. A fuel pressure gauge would have been most helpful to diagnose your issue I have to say. Have you tried filling the tank to see what happens?
The AD is working just fine. there is fuel flowing to the IP from the feed line. I have about half a tank of fuel in it now. I just think there is some computer issue which is causing it not to run since i disconnected the stock lift pump and put on the air dog
As long as your connections are good, it should run no differently than your stock lift pump did. I do know that if the ECM thinks the engine is not running, it cuts fuel to the lift pump. A bad Cam position sensor, or in your case (I think) a bad crank position sensor could cause this type of issue. Of course you would have other symptoms as well in either case. I would suggest checking to make sure you didn't loosen a connector down below somewhere while you were removing the stock stuff. Good luck.
