Problems after KDP Fix

I finally took a look at my pin ( I had A bad oil leak ) . Good news is that is KDP was fine. The timing cover was just loose. I installed a new crank and timing seal. Now when the truck heats up there is a loud squel coming from the front the front of the motor. Anyone have any ideas what this is coming from? Thanks again for any feedback.

Sounds like your belts aren't tight enough. Had the same problem

Did you lose any of the fluid in the fan clutch during the Pin job?
When a fan clutch is off the vehicle it should always be put on its front or it will lose oil.

Re:Problems after KDP Fix

After mine was done, for unknown reasons, I had to replace my belt. The belt on there only had about 12K on it, but it started making all kinds of noise about 100 miles after the KDP. I know the belt got nothing on it because I stood there taking pics while it was done. It was the weirdest thing that it just started making noise, especially since the tensioner is an automatic one, not like the tension was different after the job.
Put a new belt on and it shut up. ???

Chris

Re:Problems after KDP Fix

One thing to remember, with the newer 'S' tyle belts many are setup to go in one dirrection only, and reverving them may cause problems.

Yeah - the engine might start turning over the wrong way - just think - I'd have one gear forward and 6 in reverse...

And I'd hafta DRAIN the fuel tank every 600 miles...
