Power steering fluid is spewing everywhere!!!! It seems to be coming from the lines, but im not certain. The power steering box was rebuilt about 10k ago. I have had a slow start about last may, and couldnt find it. it started at a bottle at about every2 months and now is just spewing everywhere!!! Anyone have any problems with any of these? I am going to try to diag this when it is light out so i can see, if not then im out of a steering system. I can tell you its not a slow leak anymore, its a water fall or power steering fluid fall!!! HELPPPPP!!!! any idea on where to start or where to get the lines????

 

i just replaced my pressure line last week. Oreillys had it in stock for about 18 bucks. Get someone to turn the steering wheel GENTLY while you look under the hood to pinpoint it.

 

the only time we ever had that leak was from the shaft seal out of the box right above the pitman arm.

 

Replaced the pressure line about a year ago , same symptoms as your , think I got it from dealer .

 

Found the slip , it was from the dealer , 18 bucks. Try these numbers , 19058007 or 52006724 , your year may be different . Good luck

it looks like it is the shaft seal... Its got 4 bolts to hold it, then one in the middle. This is on top of the box. Is that the right Seal???? Any help is greatly appreciated.
