Question power loss, code 67 02?

I was driving back from colorado springs today, Running about 80mph with the cruze on and all was going fine then about 100miles from home the truck lost power for just a sec, 2-3 miles later did it again, but just for a sec. I have a edge ez (2nd one from factory) so I turned it down to its lowest level. and backed offto about 75 mph. when i got home i checked my codes and got a "67 02".... I did a little looking around but couldent seem to find anythingabout this code. I have removed the "EZ" for a possible trip to the local dealer, any one have any info they would like to share with me on this code?

As always, thanks for your help fellas

Josh

Unfortunately the codes you get without the proprietary reader are useless after 04.5. Dodge has the current software for this engine, have them dump the codes if the check engine light was set. If not, ignore it and wait for a hard fault that will set the alarm.

Let the folks at Edge know of your situation. You may have a conflict between the Edge and the instruction set for the variable oriface turbo. I have seen something similar pop up in 04.5 trucks, and it would create a reset condition that would cause the engine to stumble, put the OEM PCM into a diagnostic while it tried to reset the defaults, then hit a confict and stumble again. If this happens it will keep repeating the process until you reset to level 2 or below on the Edge. The most common condition that seems to cause this is high ambient air temperatures - over 90 F, and a low load on the engine after a series of heavy loads - such as pulling up and down hills.

By the way, it makes no difference if you remove your Edge or not. If the dealer has the most current firmware in their scanner it will see the power settings from the Edge, and it will read the resets from the PCM and the subsequent overwrites from the Edge.

That code, 67 02, is from the instrument cluster self-test (holding trip odometer button in while turning on the ignition switch). 67 in the 2004 shop manual is "all door unlock output circuit shorted to ground or voltage." The 02 is how many times the ignition has cycled since it was set.

I didn't know you couldn't get the PCM codes in 2005. Can't hurt to try though. Turn your ignition switch on/off/on/off/on and leave it on. The codes will show in the odometer window.
