Parking Brake Problems

The parking brake on my 03 CTD 2500 won't hold it in drive (won't pass inspection) but holds in nuetral. Is this the way it's sposed to be or is it supposed to hold when in drive and idling? Thanks for any help as I need to get it inspected. They brakes work fine and they passed the inspection but not the parking brake.

Thanks

Yes they should hold it in drive, thats what the parking brake is for, to hold the truck from rolling. There should be some sort of adjustment to correct the problem. Check the manual. good luck.
