P2262 07 Ram 2500 6.7
New truck, 3390 miles, driving home last night; MIL comes on, I read in this forum how to check codes, it's showing P2262 (Turbo problem I guess). Was planning to take to dealer anyway to have oil changed and G30 done, Is it OK to drive it w/ this indicator on and this code? Thanks WDR
Yes...it's ok to drive. For awile they were having us replace turbos for that issue as I believe they wanted the old ones for inspections to attempt and alleviate this issue. One I replaced a turbo on a few months back pulled it friday with the same code again....that's all the further I've gotten on that one. Will have to call and see what hoops they want me to jump through for this one. None of the trucks I r/r turbos on had any drivability issues, just the light and the code stored. ECM monitors the travel of the "piston" via the actuator that moves it (VNT). Pretty trick little unit, just have to get the bugs worked out I guess.
