1693 code

I threw a 1693 last week, right after I put in a lucas fuel treatment.... had never used the lucas before...... Think I should get a code reader and see if something is hiding from me in the codes??

The 1693 tells you to look in the companion module. So if you got that code in the pcm........go look in the ecm or vice versa.

I had the same code, I just bought a scanner at Wally world. Turned out it was the crank position sensor. The cost of one scan at the dealer will pay for the scanner and you have it forever (and you'll be the envy of your friends...) you can even rent it out for a few beers...
