Ordering a VP44 today, help me rule out other issues

I'm trying to rule out all other possibilities before ordering a new VP. My main complaint is dead pedal. I think it is the pump, but I don't want to rule out the APPS.

I have three codes. 216, 1693 companion code and a 380 code for heater grid relay.

Am I just avoiding the obvious? If I didn't have the 1693 code, I would already have the pump on its way.

Could the 1693 code be caused by a bad APPS that does not show up as a code?

Thanks,

Nathan

1693 is the companion code, the 216 is the VP timing malfunction code. Speaking from experience. Sounds like you need a new VP. Sorry.
