Unhappy not firing right

I have a 99 24v and when I accelerate at a higher RPM the engine misses, does anyone know where I should start looking in order to track down the problem.
240k miles 2nd injector pump, replaced at 160,000.

I,m in Ca. and I only do oil and filter changes, However I did replace clutch once and will have a shop do the next one (the guts are too **** heavy) I also had a shop in the central valley do the pump cause thats where it left me stranded.

Of course I would have to be there to examine it to make a full assessment.
Though one time my truck started doing the same thing and after swapping injectors and Injection pump with still no difference, it ended up being a o-ring on one of the cross-over tubes going into the head. They are cheap and easy to replace if you haven't already. So that would be one place to start.
