Are you saying that there is no power on the dash? No lights when you turn the key on? Do any of the instruments work, such as the gas gauge?
What year is your truck? Any modifications?

Hi , I start the truck and shut down in 2 seconds , I took the key out and try to start again the lighting bolt was off the dashboard , I put new batteries, have I new alternator , and the light bolt is not on , Al the other lights are on except the lighting , try to start and don’t crank nothing, is deleted long time ago , no electrical issues ever , my truck is big horn 08 6.7 4x4
If the truck shuts down quickly and you don’t see the lightning bolt symbol on the dashboard, here are a few things to check:
Battery Connections: Ensure the battery connections are clean and tight.
Fuse: Check the fuse related to the throttle control or electronic throttle body.
Throttle Pedal: Inspect the throttle pedal and its sensor. It might be faulty.
Wiring: Look for any loose or damaged wiring around the throttle body and battery.
ECM: The engine control module might be having issues.
If you’ve checked these and the problem persists, it’s best to get a professional to diagnose the issue.
