Does it come and go? My 94 does that, and I have been working through it. On mine, I believe it is a combination of issues in the ABS system. I replaced the rear ABS sensor on the axle, which helped a little. My next step is to replace the front sensors. But, they are much more expensive. I have noticed when I drive mine through water (I have a creek/fording in my yard), they will get hard. I still have brakes, just hard to push the pedal. Has to be the water at the sensors. Booster and vacuum are fine. Do you have a brake/abs light on at any time?

Yea my 95 is definitely a vacuum related issue with out a doubt! I just need to buckle down and go through them but just like yourself my friend {Hodge}I can not justify spending a whole lot of time to run all new lines and replace the vacuum pump seals etc. etc. etc.... I would rather work on one of my Hot Rods Lol.........

Yes both the ABS light and brake light are on, i agree i think it has no vacuum. Where does the vacuum come from, is there a pump under the front cover or something. That is where that ig hose comes from. Thanks again guys.

If there is an electronic failure in the ABS system, such as a failed sensor, it will shut down the ABS system, and leave you with your base hydraulic brakes still operational. You would still have a normal pedal feeling. I would ignore the ABS system and focus on the vacuum system. It is very rare for the vacuum pump itself to stop working. The cause is almost always a leak in a vacuum hose, or a hose that has popped off its connector.
It is also common for the plastic hose leading to the cruise control servo to be eaten away by battery acid from the driver-side battery.

Humor me though, check your master cylinder reservoir, and see if one of them is not empty.
The last 2 times I had what you describe, my rear brake line had rotted thru, and I was running on front brakes alone.

Well I think I figured out part of the problem. I think I have a short in my 5th wheel. Everythink is good on the truck, tripped a fuse. Just needed to take a step back and think. I was getting worried for a little bit. Thanks for all the responses guys.
