No brake lights

Hey guys...lost my brake lights including the upper brake light on the top of the cab. Directionals,4-ways, and tail lights all work. Fuses and relay under hood are alright. Could it be the brake switch? A ground issue?
I have constant power at the pink w/blue striped wire at the connection for the switch but nothing from any of the other wires with the petal pressed or not. Too me I would think the switch is bad. I'd like to find out before I go trying to replace the switch.
Thanks guys, Bob

Sounds like a bad switch to me.

I'd say a switch, too. Find the switch, unhook it and jumper the wires, if you can. (I'm not sure how the switch is set up on a 97, but that's what I'd try.)
