newbie, instrument cluster failure

I have read several threads dealing with this, I have a 2001 dodge diesel 3500 6 speed, high output motor. First speedometer went quickly followed by rpm gauge, then rest of gauges, gas light, abs, airbag light all come on. I used dielectric grease on all connections. The gauges started working again, then went out about 3 miles later. Now don't know what to try?

thanks for everone's help.............. I solved my own problem. Bought a used gauge cluster, put it in and everything works fine. Put old cluster back in and it is now working. Must have somehow reflashed itself?? For those of you wondering, when installing new (used) cluster mileage read off of it, truck had 100,000 less miles. Would have to go to dealer and get system flashed to update actual miles. But hopefully old one will continue to work.
