New fluids for Transfer case

I'm underneath the truck trying to get new fluid into the fill hole. Just from looking at it, its going to take a little thought to get the fluid in that fill hole. The fill hole is only about 5 or 6 inches from the floor of the truck. I can't take the bottle and pour it in there. Not enough clearance for bottle to empty. Suggestions

Thanks

lol, been there.

I ended up cutting the handle off a gallon milk jug and cutting it into a small ramp that would fit in the hole and still be able to catch the oil as I poured onto it slowly with the quart of oil wedged up in there to get it to pour. It took awhile to get all 4 quarts in, my arms went numb after awhile, lol.

OK...I just did it. However, you mentioned four quarts. I filled mine up till it started to come out. It took three quarts. What gives?

ur right, I still have about 3/4's of a quart left from when I did my 5spd swap and replaced the t-case oil. I just checked the fluid level after reading this, and it started to drip out when I removed the fill plug so it's still full. So mine took 3-1/4 quart not 4. Ur's sounds right, you could park facing downward alittle with the right side lower than the left and get alittle more fluid in that way, but it should be fine at 3.

I used a cheap ($2-$3) siphon hose (with the squeeze bulb). Fairly clean and don't have to hold anything overhead.
