Need Orlando Garage due to Oil Leak

Yesterday I made an RV delivery in central Florida and I noticed that my truck is dripping oil. I had left it running overnight the previous night for comfort cooling. In the morning I had about a half cup of oil puddle under the truck. I couldn’t determine where it was coming from. The dipstick showed the appropriate level so I continued on to make the delivery.

Does anyone use a repair garage here in the Orlando, FL area that they can recommend? I would like to have it looked at before I limp back to Elkhart Indiana where my mechanic is located.

This truck is 24 feet long with a sleeper in the middle of it. I had it stretched when the sleeper was installed. Most regular garages cannot put it on their lifts because of the length of the vehicle.

Thanks

Tim

Are you certain your leak is lube oil? Leaving a turbo diesel idling for a long period of time, with basically no boost, can cause unburned fuel to drip out of an exhaust system connection. BIG MIKE

I am almost positive. It felt like oil. It was coming from somewhere in the center left of the engine.

I have left the truck running overnight 4 or 5 times since purchase and havent experienced this previously. I have a very basic contraption that I wedge between the accelerator and the seat to up the RPMs to about 1100 to 1200 while it idles for any length of time.

Thanks

well the only things I can think of is...

1. Front & rear crank seals
2. Vacuum pump (been probs listed with the seal)
3. Turbo ?? Supply or return line leak.
4. Power steering?? (I doubt it)

There isn't much places for 2 gen to leak from...

But there is my .02 cents to look it for a leak...

There are 2 places I would reccomend. Orlando Dodge, on west Colonial (SR 50), or Clermont Chrysler/Jeep also on SR 50 just west of the Turnpike. Clermont is building the Dodge lot right next to the Chrysler lot, so the techs. are workink out of the one shop. PM me if you need further, I live in the clermont area.

Vacuum pump again

The tech from the repair shop just called. My oil leak is the vacuum pump. I replaced the vacuum pump at 40300 miles and now have to replace it again at 190,000. Is anyone else having this much of a failure rate with their vacuum pump?

What could cause this to repeatedly fail?

Thanks
