Need new steering box
Need new steering box
A few months back I found a post with a link to a place that had steering boxes at a reasonable price. Can't seem to find it now. Can someone point me in the right direction. I need a steering box for a 94 2WD. I went to dodge-auto-parts-dealer.com and their's was about $550. It seems like I remember seeing them somewhere else for about $300. Thanks for the help.
Look for a local rebuilder. I got a rebuilt box, modified, for $200 CDN. It is very good.
The local rebuilder might be in the yellow pages under a variety of headings, including brakes (calipers)
The boxes on the 94 are the same as the GMs from about 88 to 2000 or so, so they should not be expensive.

You can buy a rebuilt kit for a steering box for about 55 -75 (guessing) bucks! Steering boxes are fairly easy to work with. I did my first one on a 72 Dodge powerwagon and it took about 2 Hour from start to finish to do and only 45 buck for the kit...
Try AGR - they may not be the cheapest - but they make a top quality poduct.

The original guy who started AGR now has his own company, but the name escapes me.
PSC, however, is top notch stuff...

AGR *used* to make a top-notch product, then the name was bought, and quality has taken a nose dive.
