Are ya tired of having a conversation with yourself?

Is it really cold down there?...really?

Does your alt dive down during the pre-heat cycle?...does your wait to start light corresond to this? Could be something in your grid heaters...do a search on this.

Sounds like you have a loss of vacuum, could be a line problem or v-pump prob. Check all your lines first.

So did you take it to a shop a beg for mercy or did you try and bleed it yourself?

Were you low on fuel to begin with? Have you changed your filter lately?

What is your status today?

B&B, theres a lot of things that don't make sense, but is your fuel shut off sel. pulling the plunger up. Have someone sit in your truck and hit the starter and feel if the sel. is working. From what you are expl. it seems to me you have an electrical prob. Check all fuses, inside and out in the PDC. See if you can hear the fuel shut off relay on the firewall clicking. That should give you something to do for a while till someone else chimes in.

Be sure to check the infamous blue wire going to the positive battery connection.
With all the different symptoms, it's hard to tell what's going on.

The blue wire provides the "pull" power to your fuel solenoid. If you turn your key to the start position and the solenoid doesn't pull up, but stays up if you push it by hand, there's a good chance your wire is off or corroded. I've heard many stories of people buying a $400 solenoid when the wire or the relay is the problem.
