Well, if your trucks throwing a gal of oil out through the puke bottle, something definatley wrong! Have you emptied it at every oil change? Maybe overfilled a little?? You lost brakes also? What are you drivin? 4x4? I know my truck lost brakes for a while, abs and brake light were on and then i lost my abs hub. Sounds like you might just have a loose ground our something..

its a 4x4 auto i thought maybe i had a vacum leak causing excessive crankcase pressure i just packed it with a finer grade steel wool to try to keep some of the oil in because for those of u who never took one apart coarse steel wool is what is in there from factory

When a quart comes out the breather tube does the oil level on the dipstick drop an equal amount ? Is it running ok ? Is the coolant level ok and does it look normal ? Any unusual smoke coming out of the exhaust ? Has the mileage changed ? Does the turbo sound like it usually does ?

I agree - especially if the oil level has not increased in the sump.

ok how do u tell if the vacum pump is leaking that bad cause everything else works fine if this makes sense why does a 12 valve have a breather in the tappet cover and the service bulletin actually relocates it on a 24 valve in the exact place its always leaked there since ive had the truck on the front but getting worse i think the vale guides are getting wore and causing charger pressure to enter the valve area dodge wont cover it and its 310.00 for the kit i think ill just put a breather on the valve cover or put a 12 valve tappet cover on there anybody got one for sale
