Naughty Leaf Spring

One of my front leaf springs keeps turning to the side. What causes this? What should I do first?

Possible that your u-bolts have stretched or loosened you might wanna check the torque on them and try loosening them and tighten themdown in steps in a criss cross patern like 30 lbs then 45 lbs up to recomended FT-lbs.

It was getting bad, so I went home at lunch and checked the u-bolts. They were very loose!

I broke my nice deep well tigntening them but it made a difference. I guess I need to get the dern thing aligned now....

Now I realize that a truck with 312K probably has a lot of stuff loose, so this weekend I guess I will check every bolt I can get to on the whole truck.
