I was just installing the mass diesel replacement transmisison line in my truck, and I broke the fitting on the trans, that the new line screws into. WHAT DO I DO NOW????

 

I assume a brass piece is stuck in your trans. Looks like time to go buy a set of easy outs and pull it out then buy an new fitting. Small fittings like that require a backup wrench on the fitting to help prevent breakage.

 

I'm on my way to the hardware store now. What's behind thaqt fitting? Am I gonna screw my trans with particles now? I'm at 70,400 miles today of course. I'm so sick it's rediculous.

It loosened when I was taking the line fitting off. So I was retightening it. Stupid stupid stupid.

Well got the fitting out. Went and got the new fitting from the dealer, since it isn't a normal hardware part.

$40. Now it's overfull. hhhhhhh

 

Glad you got it. Dont forget to check it in neutral -brakes on - engine running with the normal valve body. Suncoast etc may flow fluid in park also.

 

It's really pickey about the level. It was just barely showing the minimum, then overfull after 1/2 quart.
