Exclamation LP croaked I think.

On the way home last night after going to wichita falls, a 50+ mi. drive, to a movie and dinner the truck died about 10 mi from town on the way home and died 4 more times before I could get it to the house with each restart being harder than the previous. truck threw codes: P0628, 0480, & 0628. This was an all of a sudden occurence, no noticable warning since i don't have a fuel press. guage. Where can I tap one into an 04 temporarily? Thanks for your help , Nick

I wouldn't worry about checking the fp. With the 628 I'd be installing the in-tank conversion. Personally I have not seen one problem with the intank pump since they came out in 05. I've converted a bunch of them from that canister lift pump.

Stock part is discontinued and is no longer available. You'll need the in-tank conversion package or change over to an aftermarket pump. You should still be under warranty.

Stock pump is still avaiable through cummins directly or third party truck parts stores. Get your engine serial number off the plate near the front and call up semi parts/service places.. even though common part they usually want the engine serial number to look it up.

Ive bought my last ones from i think it was Western Star / Freightliner shop.. only cause cummins was too far of a drive at the time. (15 mile vs 40 miles)
