Installed Edge/with attitude today and im only getting 4 p.s.i at idle.. Replaced fuel filter and no change in pressure.. I have been getting dead pedal recently. Could it just be the lift pump???? The lift pump is running Wheh i bump the starter...

 

Number 1 - you should have a mechanical fuel pressure guage mounted in the cab - this will verify the reading from the Edge box

Number 2 - you should scan the truck for codes with an OBDII scanner....dead pedal is usually a good sign that the vp-44 is on its way out (but not always).

You could also try to reset your APPS....but that wont cure your low fuel pressure. You definitely need a fuel system upgrade.

Just because you can hear the LP run when the starter is bumped, doesnt mean that its is moving enough fuel to lube and cool the injector pump.

so what would your suggestion be for an upgraded fuel system...
i have a 01 3500...and i have had the same problems..tach goes to 0
and loss of power...
i am upgrading to a fass 150gph lift and a new stock injector pump right now...
is there anything else i should replace or check out?

 

I purchased the Fass II 95 Ghp. It says it can support up to 600 hp. It will be here tomorrow afternoon. It says on other posts that too much fuel pressure can damage your VP 44.
