loud noise front right
i have recently ihad new balljoints in stalled in my 2003 ram 2500 4x4 since then i have sever noise from the front right at about 50 miles hr and gets louder as speed increses it is almost like somthing is hitting also have a other noise that i can feel in the floor board when rough roads i have staken it to dealerships and and to repair shop no body now what it is please help
The first thing I'd do is check the tire to make sure it was torqued down right. If it's tight to about 90 ft. lbs., get out on the road and have someone follow you. From behind and to the side, have them watch the tire assembly. Any wobble or excessive bouncing would show a bent rim, loose or bad shock absorber or any of a number of other things.
If nothing shows up, raise the truck slightly so the wheel is clear of the ground. Grab the front and back of the wheel and try to wiggle it back and forth. If nothing shows up then, try wiggling the top and bottom back and forth. With the other wheel on the ground and the steering locked at the column, there shouldn't be much movement.
My guess would be a ball joint not torqued properly or a bad shock mount.

U-joints can make pesky noises. Find a road with a double curve. These are great for finding noises. If you get any noise like a tire tramp, and it goes away when you curve to the right and gets worse when you curve left, it's probably a joint or wheel bearing up there. I forget that newer trucks don't have the old style joints like my old beater.
The 2003 and newer trucks, are very known for eating front u-joints... My 2003 now has 185,000 miles on it, its been a plow truck its whole life but I have gone threw 6 sets of u-joints up front.. And when they go they make some really strange noises.. But the guys that did you ball joints should have caught them being bad in the first place.
