Loss of power
I've reset the APPS about a dozen times now, hoping that it just might work for me this time
. No luck.
This thing isn't smoking, and it's not making any strange noises. I replaced the crankshaft position sensor about 100K miles ago or so, but I think I'll get another one, as BigCarl mentioned. I'll let y'all know if that fixes it

Sounds like a friends 99. Would only make it to about 35 mph. Barely move. No codes to be found. Turned out to be speed sensor. Don't understand why no codes, but there ya go.
Good luck

Thanks for the good luck wishes...I dang sure need it.
Well, I hate to say it, but a neighbor who specializes on the PSD diag it. Funny part was, he had the sensor sitting on the bench in his home shop. I can't say what shop he works in, but he dang sure is handy.

this may sound pretty stupid....but you might take a look at the hoses coming out of the intercooler....i am pushing ALOT of power and sometimes the hose on the bottom will blow off causing -0- boost....dodge did have a problem with the lower boost hose rubbing on the fender and eventually making a hole...just a thought before you spend a small fortune
Thanks to everybody for your help and suggestions. I wanted to close the loop on this, and post the solution in hopes that it will help someone else.
Finally, the big, bad Cummins lives again! I changed the MAP sensor, and she came to life. Took all of 5 minutes to change, and about $50 for the sensor, bought from Cummins. The dealer wanted $107
. Only tools needed were a 1-1/4" deep socket, and short extension.
Thanks again to everyone that replied. This site is truly the best I've found when it comes to helping someone. Keep up the good work!
