Losing Power And My Tach!!!

Ok I Have A 2001 Dodge 2500 And Wht Is Happening Is After My Trcuk Warms Up I Lose My Tach...once This Goes Out I Lose All Power In My Truck I Mean That It Still Runs And Everythang It Just Doesnt Have The Same Kick That It Should..almost As If You Unplug My Chip...along With This My Check Engine Light Is On All The Time...i Have Already Taken The Batt. Cabales Off And Tried To Reset It But It Just Came Back On A Litlle While Later...i Need Help A.s.a.p.!!! I Was Told By Somebody That My Truck Was Going Into Limp Mode..if Thats The Case How Can I Get It Out....

Any codes? Turn the key on and off 3 times without starting. Watch the odometer. It will show the codes.
Sounds like cam position sensor to me. Pain to replace. Runs about $50-60 depending on where you get it.

You need to get the codes before you clear the codes , on that yr you may need a scanner to do either .
If your loosing your tack , check the crank sensor , but you need to do proper testing , get codes .
Codes tell you where to start testing , they do not necessarily tell you whats wrong .

The 01 gives the codes with the key on/off trick. 01 does not have crank sensor. CTD went with a cam sensor. I have already done this repair to my 01'.

ok i just ran the codes on my truck and all i got was a...P1693 code

1693 comes up as DTC detected in companion with JTECMOD , I do not have any more at my figure tips for that , I am not familiar with this .

how can i tell if it is my cam position sensor??? obviously there is no code for it but is there a fuse or is it one of those things u got to take apart to look at

my cam sensor whent bad about 3 months ago and i lost my tach,dead pedal whit not power..i was sure my vp44 was toast but as soon a replace the sensor and cleared my codes all power was back no codes since
