Lights?

I was driving home last night and I lost my headlights dash lights, gauge lights, and taillights, but I still had a radio light, hazards, and brake lights this happens every few minutes then it will come back on it only goes out for a couple seconds but it is scary on a back country road. Please help I cant drive at night untill I get it fixed.

Sounds how a relay/breaker works , cools off , then reconnects , I do remember the trucks having one .
I have read a lot about the headlight switch , not able to handle the load & melting , pull the switch & then disconnect the plug , & look for melted plastic .
If it came to you with an owner's manual , check to see if there is a circuit breaker .
