Something is shorting out, I had a bulb do this to me, one of the wires on the bulb would only make contact sometimes as it was melted into the plastic. Also that 3rd brake light is one to check........

This is a common problem. It's usually the left rear turn signal. I just changed out both side's. Get extra bulb's and keep on hand. It happen's more than you would think.

X2

It happens way more than you want it to happen. Mine was the right side but just change them out and it should stop.

3rd or 4th what they said! Mine was driving me NUTS. I have a tommylift and so my rear lights are somewhat of a beach to get to. But the dealer fixed that when it was in for other stuff. He told me what it was though which was left rear.
