Knocking !!!

I have an 04 5.9 diesel that when I started it this morning it sounded like it was going to blow up and was banging like crazy!! It was idling super high (2000rpm) I shut it off and started it again and the same thing...BANG, BANG, BANG...... so I shut it off again..... the third time I started it, it was fine.....smooth, low idle........ Never once did it throw any code??

I would "assume" this would be injector problem??

Any ideas????

Oil level is fine...Did not see any smoke.......

I also wonder if the Intake was not warm yet?? Would this cause it to sound like a rod was coming out the side???
It was really strange....... started just fine this afternoon.......

Is the truck "stock", or do you have any mods???? cold air intake, chip??? It would help to troubleshoot if you list everything done to the truck.

sounds like an injector problem to me....hopefully the guys here with more knowledge can chime in.

It has the Quadzilla-XZT box, Air intake, Exh. Brake, 4" Exh. from the turbo back......5.9 - 6 speed... DRW.... 1 ton..... 4 X 4......

Started this morning with no problem...... I am almost thinking now that the manifold was not warmed up yet and was not burning the fuel????

I guess I will wait and see what happens.
