KDP just killed me....
Started the truck up to move it to the shop to do the KDP jig and heard a grinding noise like ice or snow in the fan and when I shut off the truck saw oil leaking .. Continued to move the truck to the shop and started to take it apart and sure thing big crack in the Timing cover. Now where can I find detailed instructions on how to remove the cover and replace. Can it be done without removing the cam ? Thanks alot. Talk about irony.
http://www.flex.net/~triplem/new/dowelpin.htm Here is a detailed repair on the housing cover caused by the dowel pin, Sorry to hear that it got you Goodluck and let us know if you need anyother help as there are a few here that has been thru it, Hopefully it just got the housing and no gears,if so there was fellow here who cut his gear off and installed a new one instead of pulling the cam, maybe someone will remeber who it was as I am having a senior moment,I do know he was from Oklahoma if I remember I will get back to you, Goodluck,,,,,Rick
Sorry to hear about that
Good luck getting her all buttoned up.
I am trying to convince a kid from school to do his pin (actually his dad's), but he says, "no, it runs fine the way it is, why mess with it," Then I tell him it runs fine the way it is, why change your oil, and he has nothing to say, but he just won't do it. Oh well...

That thought has been daunting me for years now on my 93s.
