Hey thanks infidel I usually clean my filter every 3k because I'm always in a lot of dust on the ranch and farm. I am going to take your advice and run with it see if that Filter minder will ever move.

When I bought my truck, I made the dealer replace the air filter because the Filter Minder was at 100% Used. I reset it during my test drive and checked it again after returning to the dealership, and it again showed 100% Used. I am pretty impressed, and have seen these on other diesels before, but never paid any attention to them.

 

After getting a K&N recharge kit I have cleaned and re-oiled the filter again. After It was all said and done I use about 97% of the 6.5 OZ can of oil. I followed the instructions to the T and that is was it took to get ride of the white spots. Sometimes I think these filters are more trouble than they are worth

 

BHAF with an Outerwares pre-filter......works pretty good.

 

But hey if you don't have to do it again for 100k it isn't that big of a deal
