Hi everyone, I just did an oil,and filter, fuel filter, manual trans and transfer case fuid change and rear axle oil change. I used mopar atf+4 and mobil 1 gear lube. It was ok after the oil and filter but after the rest of it the truck kind of lugs/bucks sometimes at around 1200-1700 rpm. it felt like it wasn't getting fuel so I replaced the fuel filter. It started better but didn't really make any difference with the roughness. Over that rpm range it runs great and it only happens some times, very intermittent. Any ideas would be great.

I'd guess you might have gotten bad fuel.

Also, you have to be VERy careful changing the fuel filters on these things-- the systems are very sensitive to contaminants.

I'd run this tank as low as you can and fill up with some fresh stuff, and dump in some good additive.

We need info on the truck to help you better .
You may have bumped something , the TPS [ throttle position sensor ] may have an issue , it may take a little more driving to get all the air out of the fuel system , double check the trans. fluid , in neutral , mine shutters at 1,200 RPM a very little .
For truck info , if you look under the 1st post some one makes they have a description of there truck & any mods , you fill in that info in the user control panel .

 

You didn't put the ATF in the manual trans did you? Just the transfer case right?
