installing a FP guage
installing a FP guage
well i was gathering all the parts to install my mechanical fp guage today. When it came down to the needle valve i couldn't find one. Went every were. The people knew what i was talking about but didn't have it. Can i use a ball valve or does anyone have any suggestions?
They can be hard to find, try your local NAPA, or buy one here:

which exact needle valve does it use? there are a ton of them at that link.
and all mech. FP guages use the same one?
im trying to get everything i need for a FP gauge.
....just about any valve will do, one with a locking or set screw would be best....
Draw up a diagram of what you need - valve (where it splices into the fuel line), step-down connector to the line going to the gauge, connector to the gauge...and take it to your plumbing supply house - they can fix you up.
Note: Use thread dope, NOT tape, while some have been successful with the tape, there are also Bad Things that can happen if you get pieces in the fuel stream....
