installed tripledog w outlook, pyro not working

i just installed my new tripledog with outlook monitor. first problem is and was it states you need to connect the green plugs AND the red ground plugs. i had ONE red ground plug on the sub harness, but NOT on the harness directly from the outlook. that harness had the green plug, both sets of pyro wires and a black wire that was bolted together with the #2 pyro leads. i looked all over and my consensus was the black wire was meant to be plugged into the red ground plug so i did. that leaves me with both sets of pyro wires. i hooked the post turbo pyro ( my only one ) up to the #1 pyro leads per the instructions and it reads in the mid 100's crusing. if i romp on it it goes to zero. so i hooked it up to pyro #2 leads, now it runs 600 WOT and then zeros and runs mid 100's again. i installed the pyro in the middle of the cast turbo elbow. do the unused pyro leads need to be bolted back together? are the unused pyro leads supposed to actually be hooked up to that black wire that i ended up connecting to the red ground plug? ontop of that i barely feel any difference if at all and hardly ANY smoke, really none, on extreme....whats up?

ok, so per the manual i hooked my single post turbo pyro to the #2 pyro leads and bolted the # leads back together like it came in the box. i left the black wire hooked up to the ground wire on the subharness. everthing works fine, recalibrated my speedo just fine, runs fine, just hardly ANY smoke on extreme and im drivin it on the extreme and it feels good, but not great my any means. im wonderin if this is it or if i hooked up stuff wrong, now the pyro reads 200's while cruisin, drops to 60 at WOT....***?!!! im a little upset that $800 later, i barely feel a difference. 100+ HP supposedly added on extreme and its nothing i was expecting. why isnt my pyro workin? my dad says maybe its too close to the turbo in the cast elbow...maybe, but doesnt it read the temp inside the housing? its a nonmechanical device basically, even if there is turbulence, it outta read...right>? help

I would recommend you chat with the vendor. Most pyrometer leads from the thermocouple have to be kept intact to keep the proper impedance. If you cut them they cannot be rejoined or the impedance is changed. The way the system on the tripple dog should work is that it will defuel if it senses high EGT. Fix that thermocouple and your problems should go away.

OK, so tonite i unhooked everything, put it back together and sitting in the driveway on extreme it smoked a bit with just the downloader hooked up. so i plugged the outlook back in. pretty sure its fueling now. it seems to me though that the power comes on when your REALLY into the gas, like almost floor boarded...is this right? and the pyro still doesnt read right. i never cut the thermo couple wires or anything. it was a ground, but all i did was cut the end connector off and i put it right back where it was supposed to be per the shop ( grounding out the unused pyro leads). it reads around 200 with the motor warm, but when i get on it, it reads 0 til i back off the gas. ????
