i put in a new vp44 and fass system yesterday and on my test run it still has dead pedal and i am still getting p1693 anyone know anything on why it is still doing this

 

Have you gone to have the codes removed? Might still be throwing the truck into limp mode if the old codes are still present.

 

yes i had the codes erased and it popped back up a few miles down the road

 

The APPS can also give you dead pedal...............you need to ck codes instead of spinning your wheels guessing.1693 does not ever show up by itself,check both pcm and ecm for codes.

I had dead pedal because I forgot to reconnect the APPS, might be just as simple as that. Hopefully anyways.

 

i checked the voltage on my apps today and it was 0.43 and it is supposed to be 0.54 i got it to 0.53 so i hope that will fix it the ce light is still on but i am hoping that it will clear tomorrow i drove a few miles and it has not dead pedaled so i hope it is fix thank
