HX40 snap ring

Where can a guy get a tool to pull the big snap ring on the HX40 compressor?

Could you please specify where the snap ring is? The only snap ring that I know of is the one that holds the silencer ring in place.

I've used a big pair of Channellocks to do that.

J.R., he's talking about the snap ring that holds the compressor housing on.

I tried that but they kept slipping off, sent the ring at me at sub-sonic speed.
