HX40 Question

I am in the process of putting an hx40 on my truck and I am having one issue. The wastegate is in the way of the compressor housing and it is making it so the housing will not match up to the intercooler pipe. I have tried moving the wastegate and the housing and nothing makes it line up. Need some advice asap!

I had to modify the actuator from my hx35 to fit. I drilled an extra hole between the two twards the head and used the spacers to hold it from crushing when I tightened them. Just make sure you get the right angle as a 40 has a different arm. If you really want to change things you can grind the arm off the 40 and turn it 90* and use the one off the 35. If you want the one I have send me yours and I will trade.

I went twin with my 40 and had to use the original wastegate as I had the same problem when I indexed it for the 3b turbo.

thank you very much! I grinded off the arm and re-welded it, used the 35 actuator and everything works great! Thanks again!

Good deal. One thing I have learned from these 5.9s is there are very few plug and play upgrades.
