Hunting or lock-up????
Tranny Hunting no lock-up????
Ok so i read all the threads. Its a 96. I tested the throttle position sensor today and was reading .24 volts. Adjusted it to .9v. Still jumping in and out of lockup. Cleaned connections. Could it be the solinoids inside? Oh and it usually only happens on the way to work at like 2 in the afternoon when its hotter out. At night on the way home it doesnt usually do it. Could the temp sensor do it? Thanks guys this is drivin me crazy
Try connecting an ohm meter to the TPS and then move the throttle to full throttle and back again, do it several and watch the ohm meter to see if it changes smoothly. If it jumps then its the TPS and all you have to do is clean it. Of course do this with the truck not running.
