Some have used and extension and socket on one of the back bolts. If I rember right you put the socket with 3" extension on the bolt start the pickup and turn the wheel so the extension hits. I tried this and it didn't work for me. I had to beat the crap out of the bolts to finally get it to come loose.

I've had luck turning the wheels, sticking a socket between the u-joint and the axle tube and getting somebody to turn the steering wheel back. Be careful that you don't damage the ABS sensor ring. Clean up all the rust and coat everything with never-sieze before putting it back together.

The socket extension using the steering as a press should work every time. I was trying to hit mine out then i got on here and found that trick out. It seemed like it fell out once i turned the wheel.

I tried that same trick - didnt work for me. I ended up just bending that plate in the pic where the lug nut is seated. I was replacing the rotors anyway, so a couple of 5 pound hammers got them off nicely.

Extension trick worked flawless for me. Getting the rotors off was harder than getting the hub out.
