Help, Truck Is Complete Dead

I went out to start my truck today and I turn the key, the radio comes on, and i wait for the "wait to start" to disapear. Everything is normal until I turn the key forward and then nothing happens.

Now nothing will come on, not the lights, the radio..nothing

The batteries are good they read 12.8v

Is there a main fuse somewhere, if there is, where is it?

thanks in advance

Sounds like a bad connection at the battery cables because the lights will not come on.

Check your grounds. Most of the time electrical failure is due to a poor ground connection!

Check all the cables real good wiggle them around and see if when wiggling your lights come on for a second that will give you a good start. Just check all your fuses it wont hurt might find another one that is blown your not aware of.

ill update this thread in case anyone has a similar problem

The grounds were not making good electrical contact, just like everyone suggested.

The ground on the passengers side goes to the block
The ground on the drivers side goes to the side of the frame.

After scrubbing everything with a drimmel with a wire brush bit, the truck fired up good. It was a strange problem because EVERY single thing quit working on the truck. The truck is now running better then ever, I had no idea it would make such a positive difference. It starts quicker, idles smoother and seem to accelerate a little faster.

Thanks to everyone that helped
