Help, Stuck In Little Rock Ak

WENT OUT TO START MY TRUCK THIS AFTERNOON AND IT STARTED FOR A SECOND THEN SPIT OUT A BIG PUFF OF BLUE SMOKE AND DIED. I HAVE A HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP IN IT THAT THE FUSE WAS BLOWN ON, CHANGED THAT. SHOWS 16 POUNDS OF PRESSURE NOW. BUT NO START. CRACKED #1 & 4 INJECTOR, WASN'T ANY FUEL THERE. LET THE PUMP CRANK UNTIL I HAD FUEL FLOWING TO EACH OF THEM, BUT STILL NO START. ALL I HAVE WITH ME IS A CRESCENT WRENCH I FOUND IN THE TRUCK SO I CAN'T EVEN GET TO THE REST OF THEM. BUT I LET IT CRANK AND IT JUST AINT GONNA BUDGE. I'M LOOKING FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS ON A POSSIBLE FIX AND OR A GOOD SHOP IN THIS AREA. IN A HURRY PLEASE.

THANKS SHORTROUND

I'L GIVE THEM A CALL IN THE MORNING, I'M HERE AT THE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD CENTER, FOR SCHOOL, SO THAT GIVES ME UNTIL FRIDAY. I CHANGED THE FUEL FILTER WITH HIGH HOPES BUT STILL NOTHING. WHEN I CHECKED THE FUEL IN THE CANNISTER IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE GAS OR DIESEL, IT WAS THE SAME COLOR AS ANTIFREEZE, BUT SMELLS LIKE DIESEL. WHEN I START THE FUEL PUMP UP YOU CAN HEAR IT RUN BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE ITS SUCKING AIR, AND WHEN IT SHUTS OFF YOU CAN HEAR THE FUEL RUN BACK INTO THE TANK. DON'T SOUND GOOD.

LOOKING FOR IDEAS, HATE TO HAVE THIS THING TOWED IF I DON'T HAVE TO.

You need to start buying fuel somewhere else! Green fuel is bacterial growth, and has likely caused a mess in your fuel system.

Fuel here gets pretty green during summer.
Almost antifreeze colored.

Never had a problem.

If the pump sounds like it's sucking air, check the connections back at the tank.

Hose could have slipped off, or got a crack in it.

Also, are you sure your tank is full?
Could be below the level of the pickup just enough to get some in, but mostly air.

99,
You're about a klick from me. Sounds like you're at PEC. I'm at the CSMS just east of you. Ring me at 5788 or 5819 and I'll get a couple of our mechanics to look at it. Ain't no need to spend your money when we have all this talent here. Besides, if it's too hard to fix, we'll swap the engine with one out of our SkyTracks
Maybe we can meet at the canteen and have lunch.
I'm here from 0600 to 1430.

Got the truck up and running with a big thanks to Shortround for cummin to the rescue. Turned out to be a bad ground on the fuel pump somehow sticking the valve open so the fuel just ran back into the tank everytime the pump shut off, and filled the lines with air. Once again the support from the members of this site saves the day.

I knew if I was nice just once, my reputation would be ruined forever.
Dennis, glad that it wasn't serious. Hope you made it home safe.

99cummins- with the parts that shortround ehmm organized to get your truck back on the road don't be too surprised when it starts homing in on sources of heat or radar. These parts just do what they were desigend for
