Help! Reman steering box trouble!

Hi all just installed a reman steering box tonight from NAPA and i have tight steering one way and very loose the other. I replaced the original box with 89,000 mi because it would no longer return to center. Anyone have any ideas? when i installed the box i flushed the system and put fresh fluid in it. The only thing i have aftermarket on the front end is the rancho single steering stabilizer shock and moog tierod ends. could i ahve possibly gotten a bad reman box?? please help this is a bear to drive if anyone has had this happen let me know!

Definitely check out your front axle U-joints, assuming 4WD, since once seized they cause similar symptoms. Jack up both wheels and turn steering wheel sharp one way and try to spin wheel by hand. It will be obviously stiff if shot.

I almost got fooled that it was my box as well until someone tipped me off.
