I ordered a Pac Brake PRXB fr my 2005 Dodge Auto (48RE) and installed it this evening. I thought I was good to go and went out for a test drive. For some reason, when I activate the brake, the truck gets stuk in second gear. Won't upshift or downshift. Startes from a stop in second and holds it indefinately. If I shut the brake off, it still stays in second. I have to stop and turn the truck off, leave the brake turned off and restart. Also, I dont think the TC is locking up like it's supposed to with the included module. PLEASE HELP!! I'm supposed to leave for a long trip by 11:00 This morning (Saturday) and hate to not be able to use it when I specifically got it before this long tow.

If I had to guess, the instructions reference the wrong wire to splice on the tranny plug. None of the wires matched the "Orange with black trace" indicated in the manual. So, as it instructed, I spliced pin #7.

 

Problem resolved after swapping to the CORRECT wire.
