Help! Diesel leak from KSB solenoid

I have a diesel leak from the 17mm bolt on the front of the KSB solenoid on my 1993 dodge 5.9L truck. I kinda know that the purpose of the ksr is to advance the timing until the temp reaches 90c. However, is there supposed to be diesel in the body of the ksb, or does it only provide air to the injector pump to increase pressure to advance the timing? Can the two O rings be replaced on the 17mm bolt in the front of the ksb or does the entire ksb have to be replaced? Maybe another fix?

You can just replace the o-rings.

There's always fuel in there.

Thanks

Any suggestions where to get the o-rings? Or maybe I could just match up a fit.

Your local injection pump shop is the best place to get 'em. Should cost you next to nothing. If you can't find one local, Scheid Diesel in Indiana will ship to you.

If you look in the sticky thread at the top of the 1st gen board, you will find a link to an exploded parts diagram of the VE with part numbers.

Found one! but need adustment info if any.

My local repair shop gave me one and it seems to work fine, at least it stoped the leaking. Hopefully it will hold. Only thing is when I put the bolt back in I don't know how far to turn it in. I don't know if there is an adjustment, or to just snug it up. I tightned it about 1/2 of the way in till snug. Truck seems to run ok.
